Danbury Symphony Orchestra: Spring Fling!-Classical to Jazz

Under the direction of Ariel Rudiakov, the DSO concert will open with Mozart’s Così fan tutte Overture, followed by Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony—with the final movement realized! Then, enjoy a jazz set featuring music made famous by Charlie Parker, with guest artists Elliot Davis (violin) and Julian Shively (piano and cello).  

Cosmos Piano Duo

Entry: Donation Yuka Yanagi and Kai Pangune Kim, the Cosmos Piano Duo, specialize in performing uplifting and well-known pieces such as Opera Overtures, Symphonies, Rhapsodies and Dance Tangos, with touches of their own dazzling arrangements. The program will include Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony, Selections from Carmen, Tango, and Rossini’s William Tell Overture.

Pianist Larry Ham

Pianist Larry Ham will present a recital of his unique arrangements of classic jazz favorites, along with a few of his own compositions for piano. His interpretations and improvisations draw on a lifetime of experience performing as a professional jazz pianist in New York City and touring on  the national and international jazz stage.
