Potters’ Exhibit in the Artisans Showcase at the Potters at Municipal Center through December
The work of the Newtown Potters, Karen Pinto, Ros Liljengren and Vickie Foy and Roberta Ahuja have returned to the Municipal Center for their annual exhibit in the Center’s showcase.
The Potters’ work will be in the showcase through December and is available for purchase.
The exhibit ranges from the purely fantastical to the very utilitarian mixing spoons and mugs. Whales and even lobsters adorn bowls and are also standalone sculptures.
Pinto and Liljengren are well known to Newtown as part of the Clay Date Potters who ran one of the most successful workshops for Healing Newtown, an arts center that was created in response to the tragedy of 12/14.
Vickie Foy, along with being a potter, is a well-regarded scientist at Unilever research and development facility.
Roberta Ahuja’s work reflects her style and embellishments.
